All plumbers working in the plumbing industry in the state of Michigan must be licensed. Individuals must either be a licensed Journeyman or a licensed Master plumber by the state. Apprentice plumbers are required to be registered with the state but are not required to maintain a license.
Plumbing Contractors are required to be licensed.
